So, I sneak peeked this ages ago and finally, here's the full post.
The first time I met Sofie and Jamie, I know they would be my perfect clients. They got 'it', they liked what I liked and they were happy to let me loose! They are both art teachers, who met at Goldsmith's University and still live in SE London.
After arriving into the chaos of of 7 girls getting ready in one London flat, we were off to the Horniman Museum, for the ceremony in the beautiful conservatory which was conducted by a close friend, who happened to be a registrar (what a lovely job by the way!) followed by champagne on the terrace. Sofie walked up the aisle to "All I want is You" by Barry Louis Polisar, from the Juno soundtrack, and if you know it, you'll know what a touching track it is. The beautiful white parasols Sofie had bought came in very useful to shield us from the sun, on one of the few hot days this summer.
After that it was off to the Trafalgar Club in Greenwich, which backed onto the river, with the twinkling lights of Canary Wharf beyond. Sofie decorated the table with assorted knick knacks, sprayed a simple white, and skull pins as favours. The pork pie cake (even as a vegetarian I thought that was pretty awesome) was topped with day of the dead wedding figurines.
A special mention has to go out to Richard (also known as Aged, not a nickname I gave him!) Sofie's dad, who was a superstar all day, and gave one of the funniest father of the bride speeches I've ever witnessed, and to Paul, who did a pretty good job at the Best Man speech too, with as many mentions as possible of the word 'beard'.
And without further ado, here come the shots...
How flipping brilliant?!!!! Love love love! x
